The "CLIPPER" by Simmons Custom Bass Guitars.
The Clipper makes a statement. It says unconventional. The swooping Bass
horn and the extend treble horn give it an abstract look that grabs
attention to who ever is playing it (lead players won’t like it).
It has the
same easy play neck as other Simmons Basses along with the active
electronics. The balance and comfort in playing a Clipper is great, with
easy access to all 24 frets. The tone is what you expect from a neck through
Bass with awesome sustain if you slapping or laying down a Jazz line.
Comes in either 4, 5 or 6 string with a 34 or 35 inch scale.
The wood selections are almost endless for the body wings
so you won’t have a cookie cutter instrument. The Bartolini 2 or 3 band
active EQ electronics are wired in a way that by removing the jumper in the
control cavity, another 9 volt battery can be installed in series. This,
along with the easy access 9 volt battery, produces an 18 volt system giving
an additional +/- 6 db of tonal response. This is standard on Simmons EQ
installations.
If your a the lead bass guitarist that requires versatility, comfort and thumpin' bass licks, or
blow back your hair with tone. then you definitly want it all, the Simmons Guitars Clipper
Bass is the players favorite. Like they say, “Basses built for Players”.
