The Echo is the newest addition to Dave's elite collection of hand-crafted custom electric bass guitars. It can be described as sleek, stylish and extreme. Either 4, 5 or 6 string in 34 or 35 inch scale. It’s slim easy play neck, found on all of Simmons Basses, a deep cut-a-way with a hand-carved comfort neck heal makes reaching all 24 frets a breeze. The balance when using a strap puts everything in line for easy reach of the controls. The playing while sitting position is comfortable too. The tone and sustain are what you expect from a neck through Bass. The wood selections are almost endless for the body wings so you won’t have a cookie cutter instrument. The Bartolini 2 or 3 band active EQ electronics are wired in a way that by removing the jumper in the control cavity, another 9 volt battery can be installed in series. This, along with the easy access 9 volt battery, produces an 18 volt system giving an additional +/- 6 db of tonal response. This is standard on Simmons EQ installations.
